We thought since Will's birthday falls so close to July 24th (the day Utah became a state, its like another 4th of July in Utah), why not celebrate with fireworks!

We decided to let Will let some balloons go for his birthday and he LOVED it, this is him giggling like crazy as he's watching the balloons fly up in the air.

First Smiles

I can't believe it but Mikey will be two months old next week! Time flies when you're not sleeping!! We finally moved Mikey into his own room, he's doing pretty well but still wakes up at least 2 to 3 times a night. I don't know if my body is just adjusting to not sleeping or what but I'm feeling pretty well despite not sleeping for more than 2 to 3 hours at a time. I'd love to get him to sleep longer I just can't quite figure out how. Any ideas? Maybe at this stage this is just how it goes. Funny how you forget all of things things after only 2 1/2 years! Will is doing great and loves his little brother so much. He's very helpful and still thinks its hillarious when Mikey poops. Will is also doing really well with his speech therapy. His vocabulary has tripled in the last 2 weeks!!! He's very eager to try to talk and tries to say just about anything. We are so excited, all of this speech therapy is finally paying off...either that or the stubborn little stinker has just decided that he wants to talk. Probably the latter. Either way we are just thrilled!!! I only have 4 more weeks of maternity leave left so I'm loving every minute of my time off. Hopefully I'll be able to get in the garden and get some flowers planted before I return to work. Mikey is smiling all the time now but I've yet to capture a big smile with the camera.

We're starting to adjust to life with a newborn again. Will seems to be doing really well...thank goodness! He loves to hold his little brother and even gives him baby knuckles and high fives! And Bogey doesn't seem to mind another baby in the house, except when Mikey cries really hard....then she hides under the covers. Mikey is doing great, at his two week appointment he was already up to 8lbs 8oz! Yeah! He's doing pretty well at night, usually only waking up twice, although that varies with each night! I'm sleeping when I can and enjoying every day that I have off! I'm just hoping for some nice weather soon!

Michael John weighed in at 7 pounds 14 ounces and is 20 1/2 inches long! A heavyweight in comparison to his big brother Will. We are so happy that little Mikey is here, safe and healthy!
